A cornerstone of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy is to reinvest in today’s youth, nurturing their development as future leaders. The Lancaster Martin Luther King Jr. Foundation is committed to honoring this legacy by supporting our community’s youth in education and leadership excellence. The Foundation hosts various annual events to engage Lancaster and surrounding areas. Each Foundation is also planning a fundraiser, around and about April 4th of each year. Proceeds from this event will benefit our mission which is:
- Diversity and Inclusion Training Program.
- Mediation Training for teenagers’ 7th to 12th grade to learn how to solve their differences in a non-violent way.
- To help senior citizens with their traveling to and from doctor’s appointments and to Grocery stores.
- Support Families in homeless shelter with “Eye Glass, Toys and Clothing for Christmas.”
- To service Veteran and assistance, them with their needs.
- To support our scholarship program for high school and troubled teens through essays and community services.
- To work with home school students to get them out of isolation, to bring them to the community for their mental health and learn how to associate with others at an early age.
- To instruct kids who they are and to learn their self-worth by teaching them their history through museums, filed trips to natural parks and job sites.
As a vested community partner, your generous support will significantly impact our mission as well as various programs and initiatives that allow the Foundation to continue our work. We hope you will consider assisting us this year in our endeavors through your contributions and sponsorship donations.
